Freelance Aircrew Data and Privacy Policy - May 2018

Maintaining the security of your data is a priority at Freelance Aircrew Ltd, we are committed to respecting your privacy rights and our policies and procedures have been updated to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (2018).

We pledge to handle your data fairly and legally at all times. Freelance Aircrew Ltd is also dedicated to being transparent about what data we collect about you and how we use it. This policy applies when you visit our website, enter your personal information to create a personal account, employers account or enter information into a contact form and submit the form.

All personal data is stored on our server which is accessible by staff at Freelance Aircrew Ltd and our IT provider SCP Computers Ltd. In particular, we want you to know that Freelance Aircrew and SCP Computers Ltd is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes.

When you create a Freelance Aircrew profile, when you specifically opt to agreeing to our T&C and Data and Privacy Policies, you agree to receive a monthly email from us reminding you to update your availability and for us to send your contact details to Operators who have subscribed to an account ("Employer Account"); acceptance of this is specifically required in order to create a profile. If you object to your personal information being transferred or used as described in this Policy, please do not register for the Service.

How We Protect and Maintain Your Data

All of the computers used at Freelance Aircrew Ltd are fully protected with the latest anti-virus software and are all password protected. We have firewalls in place to prevent unauthorised access to our systems.

The data you provide to us is stored on our server, which is located in a secure UK data centre. The server is maintained by SCP Computers Ltd and is monitored for any unauthorised access. We have systems in-place to block detected unauthorised access attempts.

Data Retention Period

If you are aircrew who have created a Freelance Aircrew personal account, then your data will be held securely until such time as you have deleted your profile.

If you are an operator who has listed a job or subscribed to use our service, then any personal data will be retained for a period of 12 months from the last date of your subscription, after that time period it will be permanently deleted.

Access To Your Information and Correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us at hello@freelanceaircrew.com

If you would like your personal data to not be held by Freelance Aircrew, then you should notify us immediately by sending an email to hello@freelanceaircrew.com

Data Destruction

If you cancel your profile, or we receive a request to delete any or all of your personal data, then all data will be permanently deleted from our servers, if you wish to create a profile at any point in the future then you will have to do so from scratch. A note of this data destruction will be held in the Freelance Aircrew Ltd Data Destruction log.

Personal Information

Freelance Aircrew Ltd collects two basic types of information with our Service, namely personal information and aggregate information. Personal information is information that is directly associated with a specific person or entity such as a user's name, postal or zip code, user-chosen ID and password, or information about activities that is directly linked to that person. Personal information does not include aggregate information.

No Information about Children

Our Service is not intended to be used by children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly, directly or indirectly, collect information from children under the age of 18.

We may use information about you for our own internal purposes, such as to estimate our audience size, measure aggregate traffic patterns as well as to understand demographic, customer interest, and other trends among our users.
